Apex Quantum uses cookies and equivalent browser storage to keep you signed in, secure the service, and understand how the site is used. This page explains what we store, why, and what happens with site analytics.
Strictly necessary
Required for the service to function. They handle Clerk authentication, session management and protect against CSRF. Stripe also sets its own cookies during the payment flow (only on checkout.stripe.com and billing.stripe.com) for fraud prevention. You cannot disable these without losing access to your account or being unable to complete payment.
Functional
Used to remember preferences such as language (NO/EN). The language choice is stored in the aq-lang cookie for up to 12 months and is only set once you actively change the setting. We also use browser local storage for features you enable yourself: the tickers you mark as owned, your progress in the learning module, the display currency in the Max dashboard, and the chat history in the demo. That data stays in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights from Vercel Inc. (US) to see which pages are visited and how fast they load. Both are cookieless: they set no cookies and store no identifier in your browser. Web Analytics counts page views and unique visits using an anonymous value derived from the request (including IP address and user agent) that is rotated daily; the IP address itself is not stored. Speed Insights collects performance metrics such as load time, responsiveness and layout stability, together with the page path, coarse device and browser type, and country. The data is not tied to you personally, is not used for advertising, and is not shared with third parties for marketing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); you may object under Art. 21 by contacting post@apex-quantum.com.
How to control them
You can delete or block cookies in your browser, and clear local storage by removing site data for apex-quantum.com. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you cannot sign in. We never set tracking cookies from advertising networks.
